GROVELAND — Chief Robert Valentine would like to announce that the Groveland Fire Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time career firefighter/EMT position.
Groveland Fire is seeking passionate and professional individuals who have a working knowledge of fire suppression and prevention principles and are committed to the life safety of the community
Starting salary begins at $62,000 and minimum qualifications for the position include:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Massachusetts Driver/Operator License
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Certified Massachusetts Emergency Medical Technician Basic
- Certified National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) 1001 Level 2 Firefighter
- National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 100, 200 and 700
- Massachusetts EMT certification must be obtained within six months of appointment, if applicant is from out of state.
