GROVELAND — Police Chief Jefferey Gillen and Fire Chief Robert Valentine are pleased to announce that Groveland Police and Fire are hosting a food and sock that will benefit Sacred Hearts Food Bank, Veterans Northeast Outreach Center, Inc., and Groveland Council on Aging. 

WHEN: 

Sunday, Nov. 12 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHERE:

In front of the Groveland Police Station, 181 Main St. 

WHAT:

Groveland Police and Fire are seeking donations from residents and community members to benefit the Sacred Hearts Food Bank and the Groveland COA Food Pantry.

The departments will be accepting canned and non-perishable food items and Market Basket gift cards. 

Unworn, new socks will also be accepted to help benefit the Veterans Northeast Outreach Center in Haverhill. 

Non-perishable items that can be donated to the food bank include, but are not limited to: 

  • Canned fruit
  • Canned vegetables
  • Soups 
  • Baked beans 
  • Boxed stuffing mix
  • Boxed potatoes and yams
  • Dry cereal
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly and Jams
  • Dried Pasta
  • Pasta Sauce
