A message from Groveland Fire Chief Robert Lay:
“Fellow firefighters, we are looking for volunteers on Saturday, Dec.5 at 12 p.m. to help decorate 54 Gardner St. with Christmas lights. This is for a young boy named Connor who is fighting cancer. This is our opportunity to do something for a family in need.
I ask all of you to come out this Saturday and help. We are also in need of extension cords to string the lights. Again, I ask you to volunteer on Saturday. Give an hour or two and help brighten up this family’s season. We would like to get a list together before Saturday so we know who’s coming.”
