GROVELAND — Interim Fire Chief Richard York announces that the Groveland Fire Department is seeking applicants to fill on-call firefighter positions.

The Groveland Fire Department is looking for applicants that already have their Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification, and preferably have completed their Firefighter 1-2 training. The department is also seeking applicants with daytime availability.

About the Groveland Fire Department

Groveland Fire Rescue provides its services out of two Fire Stations in Groveland. Central Station, which is located at 181 Main St, and South Station, located at 107 Washington St.

From January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017 the Department responded to a total of 759 emergency calls for service, serving a population of 6,500 residents and an area of 9.4 square miles. Groveland Fire Rescue is part of the District 15 Mutual Aid network and provides mutual aid for all services to surrounding communities.
