Mission Statement

The Mission of the Groveland Fire Rescue Department is to safeguard the citizens of Groveland, Massachusetts by providing high quality fire prevention, protection and suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services. To make every effort to maintain a fire fighting force capable of handling structure fires, hazardous materials incidents, incidents of terrorism, medical, and rescue incidents as well as any other catastrophic event which may occur. To maintain proficient and proactive fire prevention programs, to include public education, code enforcement, and systems engineering.

Improving Our Insurance Service Organization Class Rating

The Fire Department shall maintain or improve its Insurance Service Organization (ISO) Class 4 rating. In doing so, we can achieve improved and efficient training, required water supply, infrastructure, rapid response, public education, adequate equipment and necessary staffing to meet national standards and guidelines. Though these efforts the department can minimize injury, loss of life, and reduce property damage thereby assisting in maintaining the community’s tax base.
